The article consists in one of the earliest bibliography in Translation Studies published in Italy. The aim of the work was to present an introductory overview of the subject. A series of boundaries had to be drawn, in order to establish the scope. Most theoretical work was published in English in the late '90s, and the bibliography attempts to redress the balance somewhat especially as regards works produced in Italian and/or by scholars who are based in Italy
