Overall the papers included in the book analyse a broad set of issues such as the need to place any enquiry on social capital within an appropriate anthropological framework; several conceptual ideas and empirical findings regarding the role of education in development; the need to emphasize the social aspects of any business firm. In this introduction an attempt is made to enlighten the principles that should guide economic processes towards true human development
