The daydream : a children's book

As a future elementary educator, I firmly believe in introducing literature to children at a young age. Vibrant illustrations and sensory vocabulary are essential in helping children develop critical reading skills. I also believe that children's literature is relevant to any age group. Therefore, I have created this book for an older elementary audience, showcasing similes, metaphors, and other descriptive language to inspire creativity. In The Daydream, the reader will follow the main character Rose throughout scenes in her imagination, from a hot air balloon ride to a wintry mountaintop. This book is dedicated to all who have ever had a daydream, and to all who are children at heart. I am honored to present The Daydream as my thesis project.
