The following research project explores the legal implications of social media as it is used in divorce court proceedings and child custody hearings. The ways in which one’s social media can be used in these legal situations and how this has changed with the growing popularity of the Internet is discussed. Included in this paper is a typology of the most probable ways in which one’s social media can be used.
