High maternal mortality rate is one of the major public health concerns in developing countries including Tanzania. Most of the deaths are caused by factors attributed to pregnancy and childbirth. In Tanzania about 50% of women delivered in health facility with wide variation among regions being lowest in Rukwa(30%) and highest in Dar es Salaam(90%). The major purpose of the study was to determine factors that affect delivery in health facility among recent delivered women.
