This paper presents preliminary findings from two projects that aim to widen the uptake of e-Infrastructures for research. Through the development of a corpus of evidence and through community engagement, we aim to uncover barriers to adoption, enablers that may facilitate uptake and good practice that may be used by those wishing to engage with e-Infrastructures as a ‘beaten path ’ or pattern of adoption
