This is the blog for the Huddersfield Open Access Publishing project, which is part of the JISC Digital infrastructure programme. This project aims to develop a platform using EPrints software as a low cost, sustainable method to convert the University journal, Teaching in Lifelong Learning, from its existing model of a print subscription journal to an open access e-journal with a print-on-demand option. This platform will then be used as a pilot to convert other existing University journals in the future as well as a ‘best of Huddersfield research’ title that would draw its content from the Repository. The project will develop a toolkit for other institutions to use, including protocols to promote open access and self-archiving as well ...
