Based on a corpus of articles from two professional journals (Inter CDI and BBF), we analyse the position of librarianship teachers and librarians working in academic or general public libraries on training in classification tools. While the use of these tools demands training in the operating methods of document centres and libraries, they also reveal significant social and professional issues.
