PENGEMBANGAN KELEMBAGAAN, PARTISIPASI DAN KEMANDIRIAN KELOMPOK TANI DALAM USAHA AGRIBISNIS PERDESAAN DI KECAMATAN BANJARAN, KABUPATEN MAJALENGKA, JAWA BARAT

Rural poverty reduction has been implemented through the development of farmer groups and farmers' groups association, and joint programs that prioritize the empowerment of farmer participation. Efforts are directed towards the creation of independent farmer groups as a basis for activities of farmers in rural agribusiness. The research aims to examine the influence of direct and indirect the development of farmers' groups and farmers' groups association on the participation of farmers and the influence direct and indirect the development of farmer groups, development of farmers' groups association and the participation of farmers to farmers' groups self-reliance. The research have been implemented in Banjaran, Majalengka regency, West Java, from February until June 2009. Type of research was a survey research. Population of study was 382 farmers are member of farmers' groups and farmers' groups combined of Agribusiness Rural Business Program District Banjaran in the year 2008. Research sample of 80 respondents is determined using the stratified random technique. The research includes the development of farmers' groups (X1), the development of farmers' groups association (X2), participation of farmers (X3) and farmers' groups self-reliance (X3). Research instruments used in the type of rating scale. Test validity and reliability instruments have been conducted on 30 participants at non-research respondents. Data analysis techniques include descriptive statistical analysis and path analysis. The results showed that X1and X2influential jointly to X3equal to 52.3%; X1, X2and X3influential jointly against X4equal to 54.6%. Directly influence the value indicated by the path coefficient for X1 to X3 = 0.508, X2 to X3=0.279,X1to X4=0.288, X2to X4 = 0.284, and X3 to X4=269at significant wholly �=0.05. indirectly effect X1 to X3 through X2 = 0,185, X1to X3through X2=0,336, X1to X4through X2=0,188through X3=0,186, X2to X4through X1=0,191 through X3=0,165, X3to X4through X1=0,199 through X2=0,17
