Jane Melvin Collection 2000

The collection contains a questionnaire filled out by Jane Melvin regarding her life in Austria before World War II, emigration from Austria to the United States, and life in the United States. Also included is a letter from Abraham Mehlmann in Dachau concentration camp to his parents in Vienna.Jane Melvin (née Teltscher) was born on September 9, 1912, in Vienna. In 1939, she immigrated to England via Turkey and France. She immigrated to the United States in 1951.
