Friedl Ekstein Collection 2000

The collection contains a questionnaire filled out by Friedl Ekstein regarding her life in Austria before World War II, emigration from Austria to the United States, and life in the United States. Also included is an excerpt from the list of Jews deported from Vienna on Feburary 15, 1941, which includes the name of Ekstein's mother Gisela Koranyi; and a letter discussing the fate of Jews deported from Vienna in early 1941.Friedl Ekstein (née Koranyi) was born in 1912 Vienna. She left Vienna in fall 1938 and for Portugal. In 1941, she emigrated from Portugal to the United States.
