Abhängig von der Trainingsstärke werden unterschiedlich stabile Gedächtnisse induziert. In dieser Arbeit sollte geklärt werden, ob verschieden starke Trainingsprozesse zu unterschiedlichen lerninduzierten Histonacetylierungen und Transkriptionsprozessen führen. Mit immunologischen Nachweisverfahren konnte gezeigt werden, dass starkes und schwaches Training unterschiedliche dynamische Änderungen der Histonacetylierung induzieren. Die Rolle der unterschiedlichen Dynamik der Histonacetylierung beim Lernen konnte durch pharmakologische Manipulation chromatinmodifizierender Enzyme in Verhaltensexperimenten bestätigt werden.
