Power plane resonances are a main source of unwanted radiated emission of printed circuit boards. Several strategies to decrease the resonance amplitude or to shift or filter the resonance frequencies exist. One of them is to use Electromagnetic Band Gap and/or power isolation structures. In this paper four different power isolation concepts were evaluated. The effect of power plane, power track and power island structures on the noise reduction in printed circuit board with active components was investigated
