Sight distance (SD) is important subject of traffic safety. Depending on SD driver is able to receive in time the necessary visual information about any obstacles on the road. Obstacle on road must be spotted in defined distance, so the driver could make a proper decision. The necessary stopping sight distances, which are based on extreme conditions of braking, can be considered during road design process.
