The subject of this paper is the analysis of gender inequalities in the professional sphere on the Polish labour markets from 1992 till 2003. In the beginning the definition and the forms of discrimination against women on the labour market were presented. Next the trial of the identification and the materialization of discrimination of women on the Polish labour market was raised on the basis of statistical data (GUS, Eurostat) and the results of public survey (bulletins of CBOS).
