El presente estudio investiga la interacción colaborativa entre estudiantes anglohablantes matriculados en un curso avanzado de español al nivel universitario. La investigación queda enmarcada en la teoría sociocultural sobre el pensamiento y la lengua, basada en la obra del psicólogo ruso Lev Vygotsky (1978, 1986). Se examinan rasgos específicos de la interacción que ocurre mientras realizan tres tareas de redacción en colaboración (repetición, clases sentenciales, verbos modales, etc.) a fin de determinar las funciones cognitivas y sociales de sus enunciados.
