En la mayoría de modelos que estudian el comportamiento de los fotopolímeros se utiliza la Teoría de Ondas Acopladas de Kogelnik para el estudio del rendimiento en difracción en el primer ángulo de Bragg. No obstante nuevos trabajos consideran esta teoría insuficiente y abogan por la utilización de la Teoría Rigurosa de Ondas Acopladas para dicho estudio. En este trabajo se estudia el rango de validez de la Teoría de Kogelnik, la Teoría de Ondas Acopladas y la Teoría Rigurosa de Ondas Acopladas para el análisis de las redes almacenadas en fotopolímeros.
