Positive and Negative Affect Schedule (PANAS) - Personality Studies

This submission contains data and codebooks from several personality studies conducted 1990-2017, organized by assessment instrument. Interpersonal Functioning and Emotion in Borderline Personality ("Emotion and Interpersonal Functioning") 2. Interpersonal Functioning and Emotion in Borderline Personality ("Couples") Description: The PANAS contains 20 adjective descriptors used to assess the participant’s feeling state in the past week. The one-word states were rating on a 5-point Likert scale (0=Very slightly or not at all to 5 = Extremely). It contains two subscales for Positive Affect and Negative Affect (10 items each). Higher scores on the Positive and Negative Affect subscales represent higher levels of positive and negative affect, respectively.
