The purpose of this thesis is to investigate the possibility of developing high performance games for mobile phones and handheld computers with different operating systems running on different hardware, using a common code base. The problems involved in programming for multiple platforms are also described, including an overview of the available multiplatform graphics libraries currently available, which are mainly for stationary computers.
