Purpose – This study aims to explore consumers' adoption of internet shopping in the context of UK travel services. The key objective is to identify the profile of internet shoppers and the antecedents of internet shopping adoption for travel services. Design/methodology/approach – The paper includes evidence and findings from an online survey questionnaire distributed to existing travel e‐shoppers in the UK via their e‐mail address. Drawing upon Davis' technology acceptance model (TAM), the study proposes a model for the prediction of internet shopping adoption, with inclusions of personal and cognitive influence.
