Three maple species were studied: field maple (Acer campestre), sycamore maple (A. pseudoplatanus) and Norway maple (A. platanoides) in four areas in Budapest, Hungary with different traffic density. The peroxidase (POD) enzyme activity was measured in the leaves by a spectrophotometric method.
