As the running speed of high-speed trains increases, aerodynamic drag becomes the key factor which limits the further increase. The aerodynamic drag of high-speed trains can be up to three quarters of the total drag at the speed of 300 km/h. Pantographs, bogies, shields and other accessory parts are an important source of aerodynamic drag. In the present paper, for six pantographs platform types, three drainage types and three bogie cabin types, their aerodynamic performance and effects on aerodynamics of high-speed trains are analyzed in detail at the speed of 350km/h.
