Soil erodibility - its susceptibility to erosion - is usually expressed by the K factor of the universal soil loss equation. There have been relatively few papers in Brazil involving soil erodibility studies, due to the tardiness in obtaining results from natural rainfall experiments. The knowledge of erodibility is important for conservation planning, which contributes to soil sustainability.
