Boundary value problems based on Continuum Damage Mechanics(CDM) exhibiting damage with plasticity are highly nonlinear and usually, finite element method is employed for\ud solution. The heart of a nonlinear finite element analysis is the integration of constitutive rate equations. An efficient and accurate integration scheme is required to integrate the rate equations. The basic aim of this paper is to present an efficient algorithm to integrate damage coupled elastoplasticity for plane stress case.
