The room temperature electrical conductivities of pristine polyaniline (PAni), its blend with PMMA (polymethylmethacrylate) in the ratio 2 : 3 and PAni extracted from the blend were found to be 18, 29 and 73 S/cm, respectively. The temperature dependence of conductivity was also found to differ markedly: for the extract and the blends it is weakly temperature dependent over the interval 300–1.2 K. Reduced activation energy versus temperature plots showed that, while the unblended PAni is on the insulating side of the M–I transition, the blends and the extracted PAni are on the metallic side. The magneto-conductivity (MC) of the extracted PAni is discussed in terms of localization and Coulomb interaction effects
