Rural populations and renewable energy sources - Experiences of the republic of Serbia

During the last decade of the twentieth century the use of renewable (green) energy became the imperative not only in developed countries worldwide, but also in the poorer countries of Asia and Africa. The change from traditional to renewable energy sources carries valuable improvements in environmental protection and economic efficacy.
