Introduction: Postoperative pancreatic fistula (POPF) is a critical complication after pancreaticoduodenectomy (PD). Accordingly, discussions about pancreaticojejunostomy (PJ), which can reduce the incidence of POPF, are ongoing. Here, we introduce the surgical technique of PJ performed at our hospital and analyze its safety and advantages. Methods: We retrospectively analyzed 122 patients who underwent one-layer PJ using reinforcing sutures among 125 patients who underwent PD at Hanyang University Hospital between August 2007 and December 2017.
