A Study of Shared Screenplay Film between China and South Korea and its Acceptance in China: Focused on <20 Years Old Again>(South Korea Version <Miss Granny>)and <I Am a Witness>(South Korea Version <Blind>)

early part of joint film, development of joint film, and boost of joint film. If the methods of joint film making between two countries are categorized, there are total 6 categories. As the Korean-Chinese joint film is gradually reinforced, the joint investment and filming became most common method. As for the text analysis, the study organized plot of <20 Years Old Again> and <I Am a Witness>, and explained the elements of textactor, localization and power of story telling. Through text analysis on two film, the study confirmed that both films were directed by famous directors, cast famous actors, had interesting plot, and were popular as they are closely related to daily lives of Chinese people and Chinese society. Also, the analysis result indicated that both films were successful as they comforted Chinese people who were dealing with emotional consumption due to alienation of the elderly and adolescent delinquence in modern society. There are 3 precautions for future Korean-Chinese joint film. First, as famous directors and actors not only have good promotion effectiveness to the public but also the ticket power, it is recommended to cast famous directors and actors. Second, script is very important in film making as there is no way for a director to make a good film with bad script. Third, when filming a joint film, it is desirable to share opinion, experiences of entire staff to understand the emotion of local viewers in the process of writing scenario, planning, filming and promotion. This study has two limitation. First, it focused on text analysis, so it failed to secure sufficient amount of industrial data and formal data of Chinese media group in the process of collecting data. However, Korean movie was not one of them. Due to the restriction of foreign film quota system in China, only one or two Korean films are screened in China. New way that Korean movie found to advance to Chinese market is Korean-Chinese joint film. Since 2000, there have been over 50 joint films made, but their profit and rate are not good. <20 Years Old Again> screened on January 2015, and <I Am a Witness> on October 2015 each ranked first and second in the history of Korean-Chinese joint film. Thus, this study aims to analyze the reception of Korean-Chinese joint film in China through <20 Years Old Again> and <I Am a Witness>. To achieve this, the study started from the needs of Chinese consumers and viewpoint of Chinese culture, and dealt with how the Korean-Chinese joint film was developed and received in Chain for 18 years, why is the film preferred by Chinese viewers through text analysis of the two films, what is the problem of Chinese social problem behind the reception in China, and what must be considered when making the film in the future.
