Purpose: Takotsubo cardiomyopathy is a relatively uncommon type of stress - induced cardiomyopathy characterized by transient left ventricular regional wall motion abnormalities. Emotional and physical stresses play a key role in this type of cardiomyopathy in postmenopausal women.
