Summary: An important part of the work of the speech-language therapists is the ability to identify communication disorders. In absence of standardized tests, which take into account the dynamics of children’s language and speech development, the identification of communication disorders in children is performed by comparing the status of the language and the speech of studied child with standard of language and speech. Therefore, knowing the details of language-speech ontogenesis is very necessary in the Speech-Language Therapy. Here are the stages and regularities in the development of children’s ability to communicate by language and speech from 0 to 5years, which can serve as a benchmark for comparison in the practice
