In wireless telecommunications, light weight and low consumption are key parameters. In this context we have developed a radiofrequency receiver compatible with the DCS1800 standard and presenting a very low consumption.The study of the GMSK modulation revealed that a receiver without any frequency transposition was appropriate. We adopted a coherent demodulation made with an analog I/Q structure. All the circuits used by the receiver are made with microstrip technology. That technology decreases the consumption of each module. To achieve that performance, we used hyperfrequency simulation.
