Electro-responsive polymer surfaces are able to change their properties when they are stimulatedby an electric field. In this work, we grafted weak polyelectrolyte on surfaces by self-assembly orby transferring the molecules using the Langmuir-Schaefer method. First we studied theorganization of the polyelectrolyte chains at the surface for different pH and salt concentration ofthe subphase used in the Langmuir trough. Then we explored the response of the surfaces to pHand salt concentration changes by measuring the thickness variation of the polyelectrolyte filmsand the changes in contact angle.
