Type VI secretion system (T6SS) is a multiproteic apparatus that secreted proteinaceous effectors. T6SS participate in a variety of functions, whose eukaryote virulence, antibacterial activity or metal ion uptake. These capacities conferring an advantage in adaptation and competition, crucial to colonization or persistence within ecological niche. As well, only a few studies have focused on the T6SS functions of environmental strains, contrary to numerous studies dealing with pathogens as Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Burkholderia thailandensis, Vibrio cholerae or Escherichia coli.
