Micronutrient deficiencies imply a considerable burden of disease for many middle and low income countries. Examples are reduced growth, high anemia prevalence or increased infection rates. Several strategies have shown to be effective in improving micronutrient deficiencies in different target populations and with different nutrient carriers. However, the impact of fortified condiments as well as fortified noodles is less well documented.
