In this work, three samples of LFMO were prepared by solid state reaction, calcined at 1200 ◦C, with treatment times equivalent to 24, 48 and 96 hrs. The obtained structures are double perovskite, monoclinic with space group P21/n and network parameters given by a = 5.52 ˚A, b = 5.51 ˚A and c = 7.81 ˚A. The sample crystallite sizes are equivalent to 361.0 nm (LFMO24), 348.9 nm (LFMO48) and 370.8 nm (LFMO96). According to the specific heat measurements, the LFMO’s have a ferrimagnetic phase transition at approximately 10 K, as data fit using the medium field theory.
