In 1987, the Cervantine iconography was embellished with an edition oí Don Quijote drawn by Antonio Saura. This original recreation made by a contemporary artist dealing with the relationship between images and writing, has been considered a model of reading of this universal classic work. The paper analyzes the characteristics of the work and explores the meanings of the intervention developed by this Aragonese painter.En 1987, l'iconographie cervantine fut enrichie par l'édition du Quijote illustrée par Antonio Saura.
