Electrochemical properties are found to be strongly dependent upon the microstructure and architecture of the electrode. For example, triple layer cathode based on 3-D coral nanocrystalline La2NiO4+delta film with a thin (similar to 150 nm), dense interface prepared by ESD topped by a La2NiO4+delta current collector prepared by SP, shows good performance leading to a polarization resistance (R-pol) down to 0.42 Omega cm(2) at 600 degrees C.
