International audienceThe increasing use of medical imaging and image processing techniques allows the generation of 3D images and new possibilities of analysis in physical anthropology. Until now paleopathology is still using 2D images for retrospective diagnosis whereas 3D is widely used in medical practice. The goal of this paper is to illustrate the interest of 3D approach through 2 paleopathological examples. Morphometric analyses of pathological lesions on a skull, and sacro-iliac fusion with intra osseous cyst.
