Le retour du fils prodigue ? Interprétations juives de Paul aux XIX e et XX e siècles : quelques jalons

International audienceThis article proposes to mark the evolution of Jewish interpretations of Paul since the early nineteenth century to the late twentieth century through the study of some authors representing like Joseph Salvador, Martin Buber, Leo Baeck or Daniel Boyarin. We observe a gradual integration of Paul in the Jewish world, integration which has gone through internal controversy to Judaism, the confrontation with the Christian theologians, but also broader issues of political theology.L'article propose de baliser l'évolution des interprétations juives de Paul depuis le début du XIX e siècle à la fin du XX e siècle à travers l'étude de quelques auteurs représentatifs de Joseph Salvador à Daniel Boyarin en passant par Martin Buber ou Leo Baeck. Cette évolution montre l'intégration progressive de Paul dans l'univers juif, intégration qui est passée par des polémiques internes au judaïsme, par la confrontation avec les théologiens chrétiens, mais aussi par des enjeux plus généraux de théologie politique
