Le centre monumental romain d’Apollonia d’Illyrie : restitution d’un paysage urbain

International audienceThe roman monumental center of “Apollonia of Illyria” in Albania was the object of excavations supervised by a French archaeologist Léon Rey and finish by the Albanian teams. The monumental center is organized around two main public buildings, the Odeon and the bouleuterion. Others buildings prove commercial, religious and cultural functions. After an analysis of the various monuments, the hypothesis of reconstructions will be proposed. They will be assembled in a global vision of the roman monumental center at the beginning of the third century: a restitution of an urban landscape in fact.Le centre monumental romain d’Apollonia d’Illyrie en Albanie a fait l’objet de fouilles dirigées par le français Léon Rey et achevées par les équipes albanaises. Ce centre monumental est organisé autour de deux édifices principaux, l’odéon et le bouleuterion attestant du caractère public de ce complexe. Des fonctions commerciale, religieuse et culturelle sont également attestées. Chaque composant a fait l’objet d’une étude et d’une proposition de restitution. Assemblées en une vision globale du centre monumental romain, dans son état du début du IIIe siècle p.C. elles permettent la restitution d’un paysage urbain
