International audienceThe studies of morphodynamics of dunes often use remote sensing tools and in particular aerial photographs and satellite images. Regular GPS is a remote sensing tool freely available since 1990, through the release of the positioning system of United States Department of Defense. This tool has not been as successful as the other remote sensing techniques.
