Introduction: empathy is essential in the doctor-patient relationship. Preliminary studies have shown a decrease in empathy during medical studies. The objective of the study was to measure the impact of therapeutic relationship training (TRT) on students'empathy in group-inspired DFASM1. Material: we conducted an ancillary, controlled, randomized, single-center study of 262 DFASM1 students from the Paris Descartes University in October 2015. The students were randomized to an intervention group that was 7 hours and 30 minutes of TRT and one control group did not have TRTs.
