The Ostracofaune of littoral sediments from Northeastern Italy. II: The Chioggia Bassin (Venice Lagoon).

Se estudia la fauna de ostrácodos de la cuenca meridional (Chioggia) de la laguna de Venecia. Se reconocen 9 especies, distribuidas principalmente en el margen lagunar interno próximo a la desembocadura de canales (Cyprideis torosa y Loxoconcha elliptica), borde externo de las barenas (C. torosa) y áreas próximas al puerto de Chioggia (C. torosa y Pontocythere túrbida). Se efectúa una comparación entre P. túrbida, una especie mediterránea y P. elongata, de ámbito exclusivamente atlántico.A scarce ostracofaune was found in the southern bassin of the Venice lagoon. Nine species were recognized, well distributed in the inner channel mouths (Cyprideis torosa and Loxoconcha elliptica), external border of the "barenes" (C. torosa) and near the Chioggia harbour (C. torosa and Pontocythere túrbida).
