Les résultats de la 1ère partie de cette étude sont combinés avec les données minéralogiques obtenues par l'analyse chimique, la diffraction des rayons X, la spectroscopie infra-rouge par transformées de Fourier, la thermogravimétrie et la résonance paramagnétique électronique de six argiles provenant de sols sur matériau pyroclastique basaltique de l'Ouest Cameroun. Ceci permet d'esquisser un modèle d'argile présentant des feuillets de type halloysite/smectite interstratifiés, justifiant ainsi les propriétés d'échange cationique observées dans ces argile
