European Innovation Policies for the Digital Shift Entrepreneurship scaleup index

This dataset includes the Entrepreneurship and Scale-up Indices (ESIS) used to assess framework conditions for the creation and growth of firms in the European Member States and the underlying sub-indicators behind both indices. In addition, a set of sub-indicators used to compute the ESIS is included. The sub-indicators for each index includes: entrepreneurial culture, access to human capital, support initiatives for knowledge creation and networking, market conditions, availability of sufficient and appropriate finance, prevailing business regulations and the quality of supporting infrastructure. The reference year is 2016. All indicators are at the country level. This research builds on the work and expertise gathered within the EURIPIDIS project (https://ec.europa.eu/jrc/en/euripidis). .
