Part Two (Chapters 3-5) assesses the consequences of minimalism for the contemporary defence of realism in the philosophy of science, considering in particular scientific realism, selective realism, and ontic structural realism. Lastly, Part Three (Chapters 6-8) advances three exercises in the minimalist metaphysics of science related to epistemic mathematical realism, the physico-mathematical account of scientific laws, and the role of models in scientific thinking
