Master of EducationThis thesis argues that online learning in the Vocational Education and Training (VET) sector in Australia is dominated by a discourse of delivery issues and the practice of getting online. This has developed out of policy frameworks, research and practices which stress practical outcomes and the requirements of actually getting online. The reason for this emphasis is that online learning in VET is firmly placed in the tradition of flexible delivery and flexible learning and as such is often viewed as predominantly a delivery mechanism.
