Narrative techniques in the works of Nikos Kahtitsis

Although it is conducted in the light of various theories of narratology, it does not adopt the theories of a particular critical model or school of criticism. Instead, it utilizes a diversity of earlier and later empirical and theoretical contributions to critical thought - such as Anglo-American, Russian, French and others in relation to narrative discourse - and resorts to theory when necessary. Similarly, although I am aware that there can never be an objective reading of a text independent of the reader's extratextual experience (of other books, the life of the author, etc.), the main focus of this study is textual. Any other extra-textual references are secondary and have been used for the sake of highlighting the textual analysis which is my primary concern
