© 1999 David John RoseThis thesis reports on an evaluation of the Forensic Psychiatric Program that has operated at The Victorian Offender Support Agency (VOSA) since 1992. The program provides outreach based community support services to people with a mental illness and offending history who are also homeless or at risk of homelessness. Services provided by the program range from practical activities such as assisting with accommodation, through to providing emotional support and advocacy on behalf of the client with other agencies and services. Most clients begin contact with the program prior to their discharge from prison or secure hospital and are supported in the transition process through to the community. ...
