PENGARUH KOMBINASI RESPIRATORY MUSCLE STRETCH GYMNASTIC DENGAN LATIHAN PERNAFASAN BUTEYKO TERHADAP PENINGKATAN EKSPANSI DADA PADA LANSIA DI DESA SUMBERSEKAR MALANG

Background: In the old age, there is an occurrence of progressive aging process, this process is causing changes in the ability, cell structure, tissue and even organ system. One of changes occurred is psychological changes that happens in the respiratory system. In addition, there are several exercises that can be done to maintain and improve respiratory system on elderly. These exercises are respiratory muscle stretch gymnastic or its combination with buteyko breathing exercise. Research Purpose: This research is aimed to find out the effect on the combination of muscle stretch gymnastic and buteyko breathing exercise in improving chest expansion on elderly of Sumbersekar Village Malang. Research Methodology: This research was employing experimental analytical design in the form of quasi experimental with two group pretest and post test design method. The samples of this research were 56 elderly people in the Sumbersekar Village who fulfill inclusion criteria. The research sample was divided into two groups, 30 samples in the experiment group and 26 samples in the control group.
